New blend for the Grand Cru

Earlier this year, when I was at Perdomo HQ in miami, the team advised that the Perdomo Grand Cru was going through a “face lift”. Although it was already a great stick and loved by many cigar aficionados, Nick thought he could make it even better. So, what’s changed?

- The blend is going through a makeover to improve the flavour profile and will be slightly more full bodied

- Perdomo are moving to a 2006 harvested tobacco for the new blend

- Nick is releasing some new sizes to include more of the ever popular Perdomo 60 ring gauge.

The 60 ring gauge size is relatively new to Australia. We have had mixed feedback about our huge ring gauges, but overall, people tend to love them. We already have a large range of 60 ring gauge sticks available, such as Reserve Super Toro, Habano Gordo, Lot 23 Gordito etc… All of these lines are very popular and are in our top sellers on a regular basis. The Grand Cru line already has one 60 ring gauge stick in it’s line up with the Grand Epicure. However, based on the huge success of the recently released Lot 23 Gordito (4.5×60) I wouldn’t mind betting that Nick has some short ones up his sleeve.

Due for release in August to tie in with the annual IPCPR (this year being held in Orlando, Florida) we will release more information on the all new Grand Cru as it comes to hand and expect stock in Australia of the new blend sometime in September.
